The Culture Of Vietnam

I was born and raised in London which is deemed as the central hub on cultures and religions in the world even though Londoners know very little about the lives around them. In 2009 i saved my money like a stingy kid so in 2010 I could travel the world a little and gather a true understanding of different cultures I saw back in London.

I lived on a ground floor flat with an old cat Dillon, I didn’t really know my neighbours as I rarely saw them but from their appearance I could tell they were Asian. Dillon used to spend the majority of his time in the flat sleeping and then one day he was very interested in waiting by the banisters for something, this was a bit odd I thought until I realised he was waiting to be fed by somebody.

I soon found out the people above were feeding him which got me talking to them in the first place, I was very interested in these reserved people so which changed my whole outlook on Vietnamese people. It wasn’t long before I realised how calm peaceful they are which inspired me to go on Vietnam Holidays so I could grasp a little bit more about their reserved culture.

I exposed a completely new world to myself and thoroughly enjoyed it because it just the exact opposite to life in London which who alien to me. On my trip I spent most of my time in the northern regions of Vietnam which were extremely mountainous but i enjoyed the journeys to secluded villages.

The Vietnamese people never in seem to be in a rush or look stressed as they live their lives at a relaxed pace and seem to understand more about their world then western society do. The people have strong customs and morals especially towards visitors as I was made most welcomed by the villages I visited even though there was a superior language barrier.
I really enjoyed my journey to Vietnam and I will certainly head back next year as I felt I barely touched the basics of their culture.

Package Holidays : How To Choose The Best One For You

Planning a holiday can seem like a painfully labor intensive task - you have to research and book flights and hotels, make sure that you have transport on your holiday, ensure everyone in your family will be catered for, and all the other points that you must bear in mind for everything to run smoothly. This is why a large proportion of people choose to go on package holidays.

In order to make sure that there are no nasty surprises or unexpected financial expenses, it is advisable to plan your holiday to the nth degree. Even with a package holiday, there are numerous important questions to ask the holiday operator so you know precisely what you are getting for your money.

The first thing you need to be completely clear on is exactly what is included in the full price of the holiday. Does it cover all travel expenses or only travel to and from the holiday destination? Does it include accommodation and food? Although some prices may seem steep, it really does depend on what you are getting as prices do tend to vary a lot in the tourism industry.

Another important question to ask is what is the focus of the holiday? The reason why this particular question is important is because you do not want to be signing up for something that you do not want to be doing. To put it simply, different package holidays are aimed at different people. If you are looking for an adventure orientated holiday, then you are unlikely to want to spend your holiday time wine tasting.

What is the average age of the holiday participants? The last thing you want to be doing as a young couple, going on a well deserved holiday, is spending your time with a group of elderly tourists. Not to say that you will not have fun, but it is expected that they want to take their holiday at a different pace, spending more time viewing things and possibly more time traveling also.

With specifically designed holidays that have a set theme, there are a few more questions that should be asked before you part with your hard-earned money. You need to find out exactly what accommodation you will be staying in and at what level of luxury, and if you will be escorted to different areas in groups, how big are the groups? Finally, make sure you know what you will be required to pay extra for during the holiday.

Just for the fantastic name Jabberwock Beach has to feature on the list, but that is not all you get with a mile of glorious white sand and the gently lapping Caribbean Sea. Whilst chilling out on Turners Beach you can take in the landscapes of the island of Montserrat and top up your tan or if snorkelling is your thing, then you might like to take to Darkwood beach where the sea life is more than happy to welcome you on your holidays.

For those of you who like to bake in the sun, the shade of the palm trees on Half Moon Beach might be just the ticket, but get there early and remember that the shade disappears everywhere at noon. Finally, Hawksbill Beach is a haven for sunbathers who like to avoid white tan lines of any sort. This is the only beach from our selection that caters for nudists, so be sure you are on the right one before stripping off completely.

Away from the beaches, harking back to the days when the British Navy ruled the waves is the fully restored Nelson’s Dockyard, which recreates how the harbour looked over 200 years ago. Nelson’s Dockyard is located in the English Harbour area of Antigua along with other historical sites, including 18thcentury Clarence House, which was built for royal guests. This part of the island is also home to some of the best nightlife for Caribbean holidays in the proximity.

Caribbean Holidays Offer Many Options

The first question to ask if you are searching for Caribbean holidays is which of the islands you would like to visit. There are hundreds to select from, spread over thousands of miles of tropical sea.
The best-known islands include Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, where tourism is a key part of the economy and you can be sure of a welcoming vibe. However, there are also dozens of less well-known islands, where you can enjoy relaxing tropical holidays off the beaten track.

The next question you have to ask yourself is why take one of the many Caribbean holidays? Your answer will help identify the best destination for you. If you are looking to get away from it all and sample the beauty of a quiet historical island then why not try Nevis, where you can while away your holiday on the beautiful shores of the Caribbean Sea.

If the rum tinged party life is more to your taste then you should probably head for Jamaica or St. Lucia, where you can party all night and sleep off your hangover relaxing on a pure white beach or lounging by the pool. For anyone looking to tempt fate with gambling should look no further than Puerto Rico, where there will always be a casino ready to welcome you. If you are looking for something a little more energetic however, Antigua holidays offer a range of water sports, especially snorkelling on the majestic coral reefs. Many all inclusive holidays for the Caribbean are available and will usually include the cost of several of these activities.

What’s the common trait between all of these places? Wherever you go in the Caribbean you will find extraordinary beaches, friendly people and fantastic weather. One thing you should always remember when looking for late holiday deals to this part of the world, is to avoid the hurricane season. It runs from the beginning of June to the end of November.

Why Take A Maldives Holiday?

The Maldives is comprised of a series of atolls, each circling hundreds of islands. It has an interesting claim to fame, as it is the country with the world’s lowest high point, just 2.3m above sea level. The Maldives is a relative newcomer to the tourism industry, but has become an immensely popular destination, sadly making it one unlikely to offer many late holiday deals.

The country is favoured by underwater sports enthusiasts, as it has amazing marine life, fantastic coral reefs and clear warm waters, which make sports diving an absolute delight. Some of the islands boast hotels with their own reefs, which provide protected swimming for their guests. You can jet ski, windsurf and water ski if you feel the need to take time off from just relaxing and unwinding from the stresses of everyday life.

Another variant of popular Maldives holidays include sailing and there are numerous cruises and trips around the various atolls. If you enjoy sailing and diving you will want to make use of the live aboard boats that can also be found on some Caribbean holidays. Known as safari boats, they will take you to all the best dive sites, while at the same time providing for your every need whilst aboard.

The capital city is Male and adjacent to it is a separate island, which is home to the airport. This is where your international flight arrives and from where the onward journey to your destination resort, either by boat or seaplane, begins. Male is the best place to find nightlife, but bear in mind that the Maldives is a Muslim country and there are certain conventions that must be observed.

The best time to take holidays in the Maldives is from December to April. Though there are two monsoon seasons, the temperatures are always high and the welcome is always warm. The Maldives are a very popular place for honeymoons and weddings abroad.
