All Inclusive Holidays - The Pros And Cons Reviewed
Posted by SEO SERVICES in Travel on November 26th, 2010
When it comes to holidays the all inclusive is an option that many people consider. Having all the hard work taken away may seem like the way to enjoy a hassle free holiday, however the all inclusive holiday will not suit everyone. Before you go ahead and book there are several things you will need to consider carefully to work out if this deal is really the right kind of holiday for you.
Pros
- All inclusive generally means that you will get your flight, any transfers, board and food included in one package ? many packages also include your evening entertainment. If you do your homework you may also find a deal that includes activities and sports, which is good for those who like their holidays to be active. The one price for everything payment is popular at the moment because many people are watching their spending and need to stick to a budget. With an all inclusive there is less worry about extra financial cost later on.
- Having all your meals paid for means that you know what you are getting, no disappointing expensive meals at restaurants you aren?t familiar with. The stress of finding a place to eat every day is taken away and this can be particularly helpful for families where the children are young ? you can eat and drink as much or as little as you like.
- If you choose an all inclusive package that is protected by ATOL you will be protected from losing out if your holiday firm folds. In the present economic times this has been a problem so this is another way to take out some of the stress planning your holiday.
- All inclusive holidays have recovered from their bad press from a few years ago. Often associated with endless boozing and rowdy behavior along the Costa del Sol many tour operators have added a lot more all inclusive destinations and options to their summer programmes. Long haul destinations that are often expensive can be more affordable if you choose an all-inclusive option.
- A lot of the traditional holiday destinations in Europe have become more expensive because of the current economic climate. If you have paid for all your food and drink you won?t be affected by the prices rises you will find at many of the local bars and restaurants in these destination.
Cons
- Something you need to be clear about is where exactly your hotel is going to be. Some all inclusive packages are at hotels that are set a distance from any main town or city and you may end up spending a lot on taxis if you want to venture out of the grounds of your holiday complex. If you don?t mind staying in one place for the duration of your holiday this will not be a problem but needs to be considered if you like to get out and about.
- Make sure you check out exactly what you will be getting for your money when it comes to the food and drink included in your all inclusive. Some hotels offer a choice of restaurants but others only have one buffet style restaurant to eat at. Be prepared for the possibility that you may have a somewhat narrow choice. Try to find out if you will also have a choice of international beers and wines ? your deal may only include locally produced drinks.
- The main thing is to ask yourself if you really are the type of person who would enjoy an all inclusive holiday. They can feel quite restrictive for some people for others they offer a hassle free holiday. You may have to wear the uniform ?wristband? throughout your holiday, ask yourself if you would be happier having the freedom to explore and do your own thing.

Economic Sun Not Quite As Bright As Carribean Sun
Posted by SEO SERVICES in Travel on November 24th, 2010
Tourists are being encouraged to continue their Caribbean holidays as a destructive hurricane season passes with relatively few lives lost and economies eager to rebuild.
Hurricane Tomas killed 14 people in St. Lucia early in the month of November. With houses flattened and infrastructure damaged, the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) quickly paid out $13 million to Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Vincent. Though even St. Lucia has been quick to recover from the Hurricane, the destruction has rocked people’s faith in the sustainability of the Caribbean economies. The only positive from the season has been the fact that all twelve hurricanes failed to make landfall in the US, which is obviously a key source market for the islands.
The Caribbean economy is heavily dependent on tourism, and bad weather is always excessively bad news. Countries like Trinidad and Tobago have the unique advantage of being in pocession of oil and gas, whereas most other islands rely on timber and agriculture beyond tourism. These resources are very easily destroyed (if relatively inexpensive to replace) by hurricanes (as happened in St. Lucia). Critics have been quick to point to this lack of diversity in produce as a decisive issue, but they also believe that tourism should be targetting outside the comfort zones of Europe and North America.
The Caribbean sun hasn’t stopped shininh though. The problem lies elsewhere.. A holiday to Barbados, St. Vincent, the Dominican Republic or anywhere in the Caribbean is the safe bet for tropical warmth and beauty that it’s always been. The problem lies in the fact that the Caribbean no longer has a monopoly on the tropical paradise image. Mauritius holidays are a fantastic Indian Ocean destination, and responsible for much of the European Source Market’s fickle attitude to Caribbean destinations in the last decade. Tourists are also discovering other markets, such as find the appeal of Thailand holidays and its brilliant tropical continental climate.

What To Consider When Looking For A Cheap Holiday
Posted by SEO SERVICES in Travel on October 24th, 2010
Everyone’s after a bargain these days and holidays certainly don’t come cheap. However, if you follow our tips you’re sure to save time and money on your holiday and have a whale of a time while you’re there. The first thing to consider is the dates of your holiday. Don’t go during school breaks or busy peak periods as popular tourist spots will be busy and expensive. If you’re able to take a holiday outside of peak times, do so.
Would you pay a couple of hundred dollars for a microwave meal and a movie? No? Then why should you pay that amount extra for exactly that with a premium airline? Economy and budget airlines have grown fast to become major players in the airline industry. You can save massive amounts of money by flying with budget airlines while still enjoying practically the same service as you would with a premium airline. After all, a plane’s a plane!
Specialized flight scraper websites can compare the costs of flights from many different flight brokers and agents all on one screen, allowing you to make even more savings on your flight without compromising on anything at all ? only who you book through. By comparing the deals available to you, you could make big savings on exactly the same flight just by booking through a different agent or broker! Don’t settle for the first price they give you ? try to get the best deal possible.
The savings don’t stop with the flights. Once you’ve chosen your accommodation, use another scraper ? this time, a hotel scraper to find the best possible prices and deals for the hotel in which you want to stay. You can compare the prices from many different brokers and agents and find the best possible deal for the period of your holiday. Why should you pay more than you have to? There are massive savings to be had, so have them!
Now you’ve got your flight and your accommodation sorted. But the money saving doesn’t end there! Pick up the phone and give the operators a call and be prepared to haggle for an even better price. You’d be amazed at some of the discounts that are available if you only ask. After all, what have you got to lose? It’ll only cost you a phone call and the worst they can do is say no. At best, you could save even more valuable money.
