Five Great Museums In New York City

One of the many attributes that NY, NY is known for are its many awesome museums. There the art museums like The Met, MoMA, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, but there are also many other kinds of NYC museums such as the Natural History Museum and Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.

Below you will find a quick description of each of the five museums I just mentioned so that you can find out which of these museums you would most like to visit during your NYC trip. Entry to all of these NYC museums is a feature of the New York Pass.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art - This enormous art history museum is usually referred to simply as “The Met” and while it is primarily a museum for art it’s also much more than that. It’s a great place to visit for anyone who’s into history. The biggest drawback with museum is also its biggest positive; it’s so enormous that it can be a bit overwhelming. It’s impossible to really see it all in a single day.

The MoMA - This museum is aimed at those who are really interested in modern art. It features works by Henri Rousseau, Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, and Salvador Dali. I would say that the MoMA isn’t as “family friendly” as the other museums listed here. If you have children then you may want to choose a different museum!

The Guggenheim Museum - The Guggenheim is probably more well known for its incredible architectural design than the artwork within it. The circular building was designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the late 1950s. It’s definitely worth going inside and checking it out (and of course the great artwork!) It is not as overwhelming as the Met and the MoMA.

The American Museum of Natural History - For a majority of people this is probably the NYC museum they would most enjoy. It’s not only that it’s very “kid friendly” but I just believe it is interesting to a larger group of people. I really do not see how any person can’t be curious to see a dinosaur’s skeleton with their own eyes. It is incredible to stand right next to the huge skeletons (not that all dinosaurs were enormous, of course - but some of them were!)

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum - This fun museum is a very “kid friendly” place. Your children will probably really enjoy seeing life size wax versions of celebrities (both those alive and those no longer with us.) It’s pretty fun for adults as well. This is a good choice if you’re in a silly mood rather than a serious one.

The New York Pass contains tickets to all 5 of these great museums.

Regardless of whether you want to go to any of the museums listed here or not, you should definitely use the New York City Hotel Deals website to find the lowest rates on luxury hotels in New York.

How You Can Get The Rewards Of A Timeshare For Less!

The thought of owning a vacation house has come across just about any person’s mind at one point or another. Knowing that vacation homes are quite expensive to own and keep up, many Americans look towards timeshare ownership as a way to have a vacation home of their own. However, is this actually the case?

The saddening reality is that this is far from the case. Quite a bit of Americans buy timeshares looking to be able to vacation to them at least once a year. However, when the consumer calls the timeshare developer for the first time to reserve a room, they will find that it is important to call months in advance to reserve their share of time. This is one of the many frustrations that Americans tend to have with a timeshare.

Another frustration that consumers tend to experience based around timeshares is the overwhelming amount of expenses that revolve around the property. Every year, as the cost of living increases, the maintenance fees associated with the timeshare increase. After a few years, many people find themselves in a new financial situation than the one that they were in when they buyd the timeshare. These timeshare maintenance fee hikes are one of the reasons for an overwhelming amount of consumer financial hardships nation wide!

Finally, when a person buys a timeshare, they usually do not pay it off in full all in one day. This is because timeshares have quite a hefty price tag in most cases being between $8,000.00 and $80,000.00! Most consumers will finance this amount through the timeshare developer. This leaves people with a huge amount of debt usually at a high interest rate. Plain and simple, Americans who have timeshares often feel trapped by the vacation house they thought they would enjoy!

So, I bet your thinking “Will the author deliver on the title?” or “Why would I want the benefits of a timeshare if they are not all that great?”. Well, yes I will deliver on my title and, no consumers actually don’t want the “Rewards” of a timeshare. However, consumers do want the benefit of a vacation house. The benefits of being able to go where they want when they want at a low cost!

This is something that is definitely available to people today! What was just described is called a vacation club. Vacation clubs are associations that usually charge around $200.00 per year. Once the association fees are paid, Americans are able to go to a resort for a steep discount on their schedules!

This article is brought to you by American Resort Resolutions. American Resort Resolutions specializes in the process of timeshare cancellation. Why sell a timeshare for a loss when you can cancel a timeshare and recover your losses. Stop falling for companies who say they can sell your timeshare and stop saying sell my timeshare! It’s time to cancel your timeshare and recover your losses!

Getting Yourself A Good Deal On A Hotel Room

If you are booking a hotel room, it might be tempting to just accept the price you are given and go with it. However, there are quite a few things you can do to get a good deal on hotel rooms – read on to find out more. One thing you can do to get a good deal is simply to ask for one. It might sound obvious, and there is every chance that the person you are dealing with will say no, but you never know until you try.

Another trick is to look out for special offers. Often, hotels will have a certain number of rooms for a lower price than normal – if you see one of these offers, book it as soon as you can to make sure you get one of the cheaper rooms. Also, if you stay in a hotel during an ‘off peak’ time, such as on a weeknight that’s not in a holiday season, it is often easier to get good deals as they’ll be keen to fill the rooms.

You can also make use of things such as points cards. These are sometimes offered by hotels, and if you use the same hotel on a regular basis you might be able to get a discount after you have stayed there a certain number of times. Also, some credit cards offer you points for all the money you spend on your card and these points can often be translated into things such as hotel rooms, so look around for a good deal.

Staying in a hotel for an extended period of time is another good way of getting good deals on hotel rooms. Hotels always like to know that their rooms are going to be filled and they’re likely to be grateful if you are able to stay for at least a couple of weeks or more, so it is always worth asking if there are any deals they can give you. You may not always need to stay for very long, but if you do it could help you.

Lastly, you should always try to book in advance when staying in a hotel as this often offers the best chance of a good deal. As soon as you know you are in need of a hotel room, research around for the best deals and then book when you find one as it is often the best deals that sell out first. Conversely, you could wait until the last minute as sometimes when hotels need to fill rooms at short notice they’ll drop their price.

What You Need To Know Before Choosing Skywest Airlines

I am an ultrasound tech loving traveling. Since ultrasound technician salary is not very high, I always want to save some money while experiencing the foreign culture. Last year I travelled by air by Skywest Airlines with my friend. This article is a review of Skywest Airlines. I hope you feel it helpful. Skywest Airlines is a leading regional carrier that mainly serves West Coast cities, but it also has partnerships with international airlines such as Delta. In 1972 it started as a small carrier in Utah, but it has grown through the years and currently serves many people every day. Neat facts about Skywest Airlines will be talked over in this article.

One of the largest airlines that Skywest works with is Delta Airlines, which everyone is familiar with. This history of Delta dates all the way back to the 1920s and the earliest days of aviation. Over the years, Delta has grown to be one of the largest airlines in the world. Indeed, when looking at the number of journeyers they fly, Delta comes in second only to United, and they are also in alliance with them. The bigger airlines such as Delta find that there is a necessity for getting support from the smaller regional carries so serving more passengers is possible, in particular people that have to have flights to airports that are smaller in size. For that reason, Delta and Skywest are able to support each other and their passengers. The Skywest Magazine is issued by Skywest Airlines and it provides trivia about the airline and a lot of their reputable landing points. Current copies have emphasized points of interest such as Colorado Springs, Santa Barbara and Cody, Wyoming. The picturesque places mentioned above aren’t as trendy as more popular places but they are all serviced by Skywest Airlines. Great vacation plans can be made by studying the Skywest Magazine, which you can also do on the World Wide Web. Journeying to the previously mentioned as well as numerous other cities in the West could bring you to areas of the U.S. that are possibly unfamiliar to you. Giving you a bigger variety of destinations, regional airlines such as Skywest helps you get there.

When you are traveling with someone who needs special attention or accommodations in any way, contact Skywest Airlines beforehand and find out if they can handle your requirements. Smaller regional airlines such as Skywest are not always capable of taking care of every special requirement a potential passenger might have. For instance, if you or a member of your travel party has a need for therapeutic oxygen during the flight, you must make your flight plans with another airline because therapeutic oxygen is not available on Skywest’s flights. Some of the planes that Skywest flies are able to take on board wheelchairs, but not every plane in their fleet has this capability.

Service animals can be another challenge if you must travel with one. They are not allowed to be “seated” in a passenger seat. Due to the fact that the larger airlines are more capable of handling special needs, you should plan your trip on one of them instead of the smaller-planed regional airlines. Make sure to check with Skywest Airlines in advance of any flight plans you may be making to find out if they have the resources to accommodate your special needs. When traveling to a smaller city in the Western United States, one great option may be Skywest Airlines. Less busy destinations aren’t well served by major airlines. An abundance of people are finding Skywest Airlines because of their fantastic reputation.

Visiting Turkey In Eastern Europe

Over the years, Turkey has become a popular tourist destination. It offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty, along with a touch of modern entertainment. From the British Isles alone, nearly 2,000,000 visitors annually travel to Turkey. If you are planning a trip yourself, there are some things to know before hopping on the next plane. Some Turkey travel trips will benefit your vacation to this interesting nation.

Turkish is the official language of Turkey, so expect many of those you encounter who are natives of the country to utilize that as their primary language. Turkish is the country’s official language, but that does not mean that no one understands English. Recently, a hiring campaign was performed by Turkey in order to acquire native English speakers to teach in schools and universities. In these areas, as well as almost all of the tourist destinations, English is quite prevalent. Outside of these regions, however, almost no English is spoken.

Upon arriving in Turkey, you will want to convert your money into lira, as that is the official currency of the country. At one point, the lira was the second least valuable world currency, but upon the money’s reevaluation in the mid-2000s, it has increased in worth. You can use an online currency converter before you leave for Turkey to get a general idea of how many lira your funds will yield.

Spring is the best season in which to travel to Turkey. The entire country experiences moderate weather at this time, although April tends to be rainy. Visiting Istanbul at this time, however, will result in higher prices there because it is peak season in the capital. Hotels will likely be booked solid, but the resorts found on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts will be slow at this time. Hotels are easy to come by there during the spring. In the autumn, the resorts are less busy again, and the water is still warm from the summer sun. Winter is the least favorable season in which to visit Turkey, but the benefit is that there are fewer crowds, and the tourist activities are not as expensive.

When preparing to travel to Turkey, the process is not all that different from visiting any other country. Budget according to the prevailing currency, find the peak and slow periods of the year and decide how that will affect your budget or comfort level, and be aware of the customs and languages. If you take all of these factors into consideration, you will have a head start on what you need to do when getting ready to travel to Turkey.

Visiting Bulgaria - A Short Guide For Tourists

Bulgaria has been a member of the European Union since 2007. It is increasingly popular with international travelers. If you are thinking of going, when and where should you go? Basically, Bulgaria is amazing at any time of the year. If you are after comfortable temperatures and lots of culture, spring is a good time to go. For festivals and hiking, you should go in summer. Fall is good for the Black Sea Coast and, if you want to go skiing, you should go in winter.

When it comes to getting around in Bulgaria, there are quite a few options open to you. It’s an easy country to get to as you can either fly there or use a European rail pass and go by train. The public transport in the country is mostly very good value and the bus is considered to be better than the train. However, the capital city of Sofia also has very good tram and metro systems, while if you are looking to explore the countryside you could try cycling.

The official currency that has long been used in Bulgaria is known as the ‘lev’. One lev is made up of 100 stotinki and it is a very stable currency. There is also a fairly easy conversion rate: 20 lev is worth around 10 euros. You can also pay for some things in euros, although it is not the official currency of Bulgaria. For some large purchases, the price may be quoted to you in euros but more often than not you will be asked to pay using local money.

In terms of places you really should visit in Bulgaria, the Black Sea Coast must be near the top of your list. It has a combination of tourist developments and undeveloped areas that are sure to appeal to everyone. If you are looking for a major development, try visiting Sunny Beach. Alternatively, for a quieter time, pay Sinemorets a visit. The towns of Sozopol and Varna are also gorgeous. You’ll find lots of spas, Roman baths, art galleries and more to keep you busy.

Despite the fact that Sofia is the capital city of Bulgaria and also the biggest city, a lot of tourists don’t actually go there. This is a shame as it’s great to visit. There are lots of good museums, theaters and plenty of green spaces to visit. There are also a lot of modern developments such as five star hotels, and nice bars and restaurants. These are coupled with the memories of communism in Bulgaria, such as Ottoman mosques and domed churches that you should definitely explore.

When Planning Italian Weekend City Breaks Place Travel Breaks High On Your List.

You would think this goes without saying but there are so many places to visit in Italy. Rome has to be the top spot. It is one of my favourite places in the world. It has everything. The first time I went it was for a day-imagine, what can you do in Rome in one day? The next time it was for five days, much better.

On my Italian cheap city breaks I stayed in a hotel on the Vatican side of the river and for me the location was perfect. I don’t suppose anyone goes to Rome without visiting St.Peter’s and whatever your purpose: religious , lover of art or history , it is there. It is also worth going to the top for the view over Rome and the view from the gallery half way up. Also, the Vatican museum and the Cistine Chapel are must visits. It is just not possible to describe how amazing these places are. You just have to go. It is worth the queue so go early. There are audio guides available and you must have your passport or they will not let you have one. It is a good idea to plan in advance what your priorities are as you will not see the whole thing in one visit. For instance I had been to Egypt so I gave that room a miss.

There are the usual hop on hop off tours which are always a good way to get your bearings as it will make your Rome travel breaks easier to plan. I tended to walk everywhere, it gives you a good feel of the atmosphere and you see things you would otherwise miss, but the bus is quicker. There are self guided walking tours which go to all the main points of interest including the Trevi Fountain. If you need to stop for a quick bite while you are walking about you should try the brightly coloured vans which sell slices of pizza and panini and drinks. They are good value and you can save your evening meal to relax.

I also loved Castell Gandolfo as this was the backdrop to one of my favourite operas , ‘Tosca’. Another favourite was the Villa Borghese , the paintings and the sculptures were amazing but you must book well in advance and take your passport to get the audio guide. I would certainly not want to miss the Pantheon which was a Roman temple later becoming a Christian Church. Don’t be put off by the ugly exterior the inside is amazing with the huge dome and the tomb of Raphael. There are no windows, the only light is from the hole high up in the centre of the dome.

I enjoyed the outside places too. The Forum, The iconic Colosseum, Trajan’s Market (probably the first shopping mall) and of course all the Piazzas.

After all this there is the shopping and eating to fit in. One of my best half hours was sitting in the Piazza Navona by Bernini’s wonderful fountain, drinking coffee and eating a cannoli.

Remember to throw a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain, as you will certainly want to return.
